  2. B.Sc. Biology/ Maths/ Physics/ Agricultural Science (3 Years):

    The eligibility criteria is a 10+2 examination or equivalent from a recognized Board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Mathematics as subjects. For pursuing a career path as a food inspector, a general bachelor's degree course is sufficient. However, there is an added advantage if you have a degree in the mentioned fields. After completion of the Bachelor's, you can go for a master's degree also, although it isn't mandatory. You are eligible for appearing in the government-organized exam for the appointment of Food Inspectors.

  3. M.Sc. Biology/ Maths/ Physics/ Agricultural Science (2 Years):

    The eligibility criteria is a bachelor's degree in the concerned field from a recognized University/ College/ Institute. For pursuing a career path as a food inspector, a general bachelor's degree course is sufficient. However, there is an added advantage if you have a master's degree in the mentioned fields.     A food inspector's duty includes an examination of food, animals in privately-owned meat or poultry plants (inspection is carried out, usually before and after slaughter, guaranteeing that the product is not contaminated). They see if the required sanitation procedures are maintained. They ensure that the product is fit for consumption and in compliance with the federal laws. They have to travel occasionally for the job depending upon the location of the inspection site.
